Yesterday we had a few hours to spend shopping on Regent street. After going in a few stores and realizing that prices were much higher than in the US, a friend and I turned down a random backstreet after walking around I saw this in the window...
We were intrigued so we went inside. Turns out it was their opening day and we were their very first customers. We had some delicious homemade cake and helped sample the truffles.
As you can see, the cake was so good I ate it all before I could get a picture of it. We also signed the table cloth. They gave us recommendations for afternoon tree and we went to a vegetarian pub for tea and scones. Downstairs looked like your typical pub but upstairs looked straight out of the 1800's.
It was a really lovely way to pass the time.
